The South West Mill Meadow holiday home project comprises of 18 Scandinavian type 2 storey homes, on the edge of an area of outstanding natural beauty. The project has been developed with a significant level of sustainability; setting the benchmark for high quality eco-tourism with a low carbon, low energy footprint. The project aspires to become carbon neutral and has achieved full BRE Eco Homes certification to excellent standard. The project combines heat pump technology and a green utility tariff, a high level of wall/roof thermal insulation, triple glazed windows, low energy lighting and "A" graded energy efficient appliances, giving Mill Meadow the potential to save the equivalent of 131 tonnes of CO2 each year.
